Salzburg There many daily excursions available in Lofer. Just 35 minutes away, is the beautiful city of Salzburg. There are many museums and places to visit, and being Mozart's birth place makes this a famous tourist attraction. Another famous attraction was the filming of the sound of music, where the tour will show you where most of the scenes were filmed. There are also many shops, traditional café's and restaurants, where you can take a leisurely stroll, soaking up the atmosphere.
	Wolfgangsea   Wolfgangsea is just 30 minutes east of Salzburg, where you will be in the heart of over 72 lakes, where the scenery is just stunning. With many shops and restaurants, where you can stop for a traditional apple strudel, and then a boat trip up Wolfgangsea lake, also don't forget the Christmas markets that are held in this beautiful town every year.
	BadIschl   The pretty town Badishel is 20 minutes from Wolfgangsea, where there are many things too see and do. The river runs through the center of town, making this a beautiful attraction. There are many shops and restaurants also the city boasts thermal baths, where you can relax in beautiful surroundings, with the healing properties of the baths.
	Berchesgaden   40 minutes away from Lofer, across the German border is Berchesgaden. The town is situated in just one of Germany's national parks. Stunning surrounding, relaxed atmosphere. The Eagles nest and Konigsee are just two of the attractions, making this the perfect day out.
	Badreichenhall Just 20 minutes from Lofer is the spar town of Badreichenhall, where there is the newly opened spar and fitness center, Where you can have a relaxing few hour. In the afternoon you can take a cable car ride on one of the oldest lift Germany. This ride offers fantastic views in the summer or winter.
	St Martin One of the four villages making up the Saalachtal area is a 10 minute walk away, where again there are many restaurants and shops to enjoy. If you feel like a mountain stroll you can visit the beautiful church of Maria Kirchental,a 45 minute walk up to the Church where the Nuns still live today.
	Zell Am See   35 minutes is the picture post card town Zell Am Sell, Where you can take a trip across the lake, and soak up the surroundings. Zell Am See also offers many shops and restaurants, and has yet another large ski area.
